Never made a call just came in and enjoy
Love the tamales here. Outdoor seating available. Have been here several times, always friendly staff. Sometimes really busy, other times quiet. Great place to go after biking at Alviso park.
Everything we ordered was delicious. The complementary salsa is deliciously spicy, tortilla chips tasted crispy and homemade. Macheca is lip-smackingly spicy, veggie salad with fluffy mozzarella strips and unforgettable edible taco bowl. Lol, I kept munching on hubby's bowl! Sangria is dangerous in being deceptively smooth. Watch out! Terrific for fun night out 😆
Awesome food and delightful staff. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food on a nice quiet patio by the Bay, this is a must see!
Best food. Best service. The vibe is good
Loved the food, the location and the service. Made me feel like I was back in Mexico.
Solid restaurant. Place feels just like my grandmas house in mexico. Fast service the ladies help us out almost immediately and where really nice. Not too packed. Food is amazing. Price is average for a Mexican restaurant. My favorite thing was the music volume. Mexican restaurants are notorious for loud music. This one was quite and i could have a conversation with out yelling
Early visit and glad I beat the lunch crowd which filled the place - very good food here - can’t go wrong here - both indoor and outdoor covered seating
This is a small family run restaurant in Alviso. It has a nice covered patio and inside is kind of crowded to get maximum seating. My lunch was mediocre but they made a special order for my husband as it was not on the menu; he had eaten it in Mexico and said it was just as good. The staff was friendly and seated us immediately as there were not too many customers. The place filled up as we were leaving, which was good because our parking place was in demand, not a lot of parking. The interior reminded me of a cantina in Mexico back in the 60s. It can be a date night dinner place or a family place for dinner; it was a spur of the moment decision to eat there. Not too pricey for the menu items.
One of the very good Mexican restaurants in north San Jose Area. I would strongly suggest the combo specials.
I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. This is the best authentic Mexican food place in the area. The salsa is spicy, everything is wonderfully seasoned and super tasty. Hugo and Brittany really made our visit wonderful. It's best to go a little later in the evening during the summer so it's cooler, but it's still a fantastic place!
Always been pleased with the service here and their food is really good. Has a different flavor than some other Mexican places. The atmosphere is something to be experienced, it's like you're really in Mexico!
We came to this restaurant for a meeting. my friend recommended this place. Well, we were not disappointed. we were warmly welcomed by the crew and we had an excellent feeling. The meal was delicious. We had a great time and we shall absolutely come back again. we highly recommend this place.
Top Mexican restaurant in North San Jose area! Every item I’ve had here has been excellent, including tacos, enchiladas, and chicken mole. The chips and salsa are also quite good.
Great ambience and very friendly service. Food was solid but I’ve definitely had better Mexican food even in the South Bay alone. Definitely worth a visit. Great for a smaller group of people.
The spot is excellent and spacious, the food was enchanting and the rates were very inexpensive. rapidly, effective service and very amiable staff. I highly recommend this place.
Alviso hidden secret great place to eat. When the weather is hot this place can be very hot no AC an fans don’t work inside dining area can be very uncomfortable when eating they play no music while dining patio area is nice place to eat just needs small upgrades a nice clean up will be good for this place.
Alviso, almost a forgotten backwater of the South Bay, still quirky with some interesting architecture, not sure for how long before the SJ sprawl envelopes it. Marie Elena's a long time fixture, very helpful and accommodating waitresses, reasonably priced Mexican staples, and a relaxed deck, easy to while away a few hours on a sunny day.
Authentic Mexican food in Alviso. Could keep more veg options
Awesome little dive Mexican restaurant. Certainly off the beaten path for most, but its located really close to lots of the big tech companies in Santa Clara. Great food, authentic atmosphere and a friendly staff. Highly recommend the el pastor tacos!
Its one of my favorite Mexican place located in a calm, oldtime neighborhood of Alviso. Usually weekdays are crowded. Lot of food options for vegetarians too. They give a big bowl of tortilla chips and salsa dip as soon as we go. Good place for a small group.
Got the fish tacos! It's crowded for lunch during work days so definitely get there early! Really busy but worth the wait.
Great food! Great atmosphere...I will be back
Decent restaurant. A bit crowded, both in table and chair placement. Food was good, the ambience could be better
Chile Verde always on point. Best Salsa I've ever had!!
